1. Data controller
The data controller for this website is Annachiara Nicolella, operator of the portal Ischia Rent Boat (ischiarentboat.it).

2. Role of the website
Ischia Rent Boat is a presentation and enquiry portal. It showcases boats operated by independent partner operators. Ischia Rent Boat is not the owner of the vessels listed and does not conclude boat rental contracts with end customers. The rental contract, if any, is agreed directly between the customer and the partner operator.
3. Data we process
When you submit an enquiry form or the short WhatsApp contact form we may process:
- name;
- email address;
- phone / WhatsApp;
- preferred date and number of guests (when provided);
- message content and boat of interest;
- channel used (availability form or WhatsApp quick contact);
- technical data: hashed network identifier for abuse prevention, and a session cookie required for form security (CSRF).
4. Purposes and legal bases
- Handling your enquiry and forwarding it to the relevant partner operator — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps at your request) and/or Art. 6(1)(a) where consent is collected via the form checkbox.
- Portal administration (copy of the enquiry to the portal manager, quality control, statistics of requests) — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating the portal) and/or consent where applicable.
- Security and anti-spam — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. Communication to partners
If your enquiry relates to a specific boat, your personal data are communicated to the partner operator linked to that listing (name, email, phone, dates, guests, message) so they can reply and arrange the service. A copy of the same enquiry is retained by the portal manager for supervision of the service.
Partners process your data as independent controllers for their own rental relationship with you. Ask the partner for their privacy information when they contact you.
5b. Partner / owner applications
If you apply to list a boat on the portal (when that form is enabled), we process your contact and boat details solely to evaluate collaboration. Those applications are sent to the portal mailbox and are not forwarded to rental customers. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and/or 6(1)(f) GDPR.
6. Retention
Enquiry records are kept for up to 24 months from the request date, unless a longer period is required for legal defence or accounting. Anti-abuse technical logs (hashed identifiers) are kept for a shorter period as needed for security.
7. Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection where applicable, and withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

8. Cookies
This site uses technical session cookies only (PHP session / CSRF protection for forms). They are necessary for the website to work securely.
As of the last update we do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising pixels, or other marketing/statistical trackers. We load fonts from Google Fonts (network request to Google). A short on-site notice may appear for transparency; it is informational only and does not collect consent, because no profiling or advertising cookies are used. If marketing or analytics tools are added later, a consent banner will be implemented.
